Yesterday, Samsung started rolling out software updates for Galaxy phones that offered the February 2026 security patch. The Galaxy S25 series was the first to get it. The brand then released the latest security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Now, the company is rolling it out to their predecessors, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
Currently, Samsung is rolling out the software updates for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 that offer the February 2026 security patch in its home country, South Korea. They carry firmware versions F956NKSS3CZB2 and F766NKSS8AZB2 (via Samsung Community). It addresses 37 security issues present in the previous version of the operating system.
Usually, after releasing a software update in Korea, Samsung starts offering it in other countries a few days later. To check for it and get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Speaking of software updates for Galaxy smartphones, Samsung is expected to debut the latest stable version of its Android customisation, One UI 8.5, with the Galaxy S26 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event tomorrow. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 are eligible to get it. Currently, the brand is beta testing it on the Galaxy S25 series, and it has revealed all the new features the new skin offers.
